Musical Interlude {Rita Pavone}

As I was growing up the music I was exposed to was on music video shows, the radio or from my mother's music collection. Some of that collection was a selection of random old Italian pop songs and it wasn't until the past year or so that I decided to look into some of the artists a bit more. My favourite is Rita Pavone who, as well as a singer, was also an actress (but I've yet to see her act).

I don't really have a lot to say, so I'll just share a couple of my favourite songs with you.

Sometimes when I'm feeling a little stressed, I turn this song up and sing as loud as I can (it's one of only two songs I know by heart in Italian).

The set in this clip is rather crazy! It's so very 60s, isn't it?

If you like these, I suggest looking her up on youtube because there are quite a lot of videos of her on there. Sadly, I only own one double CD of her music but they're all great songs, anyway. I'm trying to learn the words to them all!

I hope you all enjoyed this. I mainly like to share my love of vintage fashion but my interest in the past extends to all areas, really, and I'd like to share some of those other things with you from time to time, if you are all interested.

  1. I'm definitely interested in other vintage-y interests you may have! I love it when fellow bloggers share their favourite movies and music (even recipes!) from another era as it really expands my horizons. Thanks for another great post!

  2. I too would like to read about your other interests. :-) There's more to a person than just the clothes they wear so it's good to see behind that sometimes :-D

  3. Yes yes yes....your blog is a true gem and.... me like like like! I leave a swedish footprint behind me!

    Peace & Love

  4. Great post. I really had never heard of her. But I like what I'm hearing. I'll definitely have to check her out. Have a fantastic weekend.

  5. She's so cute! She has that real 'girl next door' look which, dare I admit it, is far more realistic for a gal like me than a glamazon like, say, Audrey Hepburn!

  6. Wow, I'd never heard of her before and she has a great voice. Yes! Post more vintage-related topics, please.

  7. Miss Emmi: I'm glad you're interested. =D Thank-you.
Esz: Hurrah! I'm glad to hear that. Thanks.
    sinnlighet: Aw, thank-you! =]
Keith: Thanks! That's great to hear - I'm glad you liked her.
Kitty: She sure does, doesn't she? I adore her.
The Frog's Eyebrows: I'm so glad you like her!

I read and greatly appreciate each and every comment. Thank-you! x
