Two Outfits and Some Shopping

All I have to offer at the moment is a couple of outfit shots and some pictures of a few of the things I've been spending money on, this week...

This was my lazy outfit, for afternoon tea at my dad's partner's house on Saturday...

Outfit details: peasant-style top - Big W, I think; 1940s pants (part of a suit) - Red Ruby Vintage; shoes - KMart.

My dad's partner also gave me a couple of handbags and a whole load of gloves, including the pair she wore for her debut (which would have been back in the '50s) but I haven't taken photos of any of those, yet.

This outfit was worn at the picnic my friend, Shannon, and I 'hosted' (for lack of a better word) on Sunday. The picnic was rather a success - between the two of us there were nine guests and I'm fairly certain everyone had a great time. And I certainly relished the opportunity to wear my nifty bandana print dress!

Outfit details: cat-eye sunglasses - 2009 Rock 'n' Roll Rendezvous; scarf - ?; 1950s circle skirt dress - Gilles Street Market; vintage stockings - Antique Market; shoes - Big W.

Yesterday I did a spot of shopping...

1950s linen dress from Red Ruby Vintage. It's a tad roomy in the waist so I need to have it taken in - it doesn't look bad as is, but I prefer a tighter waist.

1950s cocktail hat; 1950s/60s stockings and an empty stockings box from Red Ruby Vintage.

I nearly didn't buy this hat but it's so very cute and I don't really have very many Summery hats at the moment, so I felt I really oughtn't leave without it.

I also bought a few other things, like these CDs, (which include my 6th or 7th Sinatra CD) and some books and things.

Please forgive my rather poor start to blogging in 2010. I promise I shall pick up the pace very soon!

Love,
Andi B. Goode
