Camera Collection

I collect a lot of things. I suppose vintage dresses make up my 'main' collection but it's not my only one. Another collection (which is significantly smaller, but just as prized) is my camera collection. They're not all vintage, they're not all functioning, but they're all beautiful (to me, at least). I mainly collect them for aesthetic value.

Camera Collection
1st row L-R: Canon Canonet Junior; Fugica Automagic 35; Hanimex VC3300; Pentax Pino 35.

2nd row L-R: Kodak Brownie Camera (not sure of model - there are a couple on this page, though. I got mine for 2$!); Kodak Pocket Instamatic 100; Kodak Brownie Starflash; Kodak Instamatic 104.

3rd row L-R: Fanta Can Cam; Lomography Oktomat; Diana F+; Polaroid I-Zone.

4th row L-R: Polaroid Land Camera 1000; Polaroid Sun 600; Six-20 Brownie Junior Model; Kodak Jiffy Six 20 Series.

Some alternative views:

I found another one of these on etsy. Nifty, huh?

Six-20 Brownie Junior, Super Model. A little bit of info here.

DSC05338
Kodak introduced the Pocket Instamatic in 1970.

This is a little bit different than what I usually blog about but I found myself rather lacking inspiration and, as I spent so much time photographing my cameras this morning, I thought I may as well share them!

I remember the I-zone! That was like the coolest camera you could get in the late 90s. I've never seen the can cam. I'm in love with the Diana, I want it so bad, but I had to get the Smena instead (bought it for $20 on ebay). I love the brownies too. :D

Wow! I don't have any vintage cameras as i have too much stuff in the house as it is, but they all look great!

I still have my i-zone too! I used to love it when I was in junior high!

lol

My vintage accordian camera and film camera are prized as well. I really need to figure out how I can get them working.

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful collection of cameras. I have been curious about how many you owned for some time as I often see a few of them scattered on the shelves behind you in your outfit pics!

So cool, Andi! It's really neat to see the other stuff you're into. Now you gotta show us some of the pics you took on each of the cameras. : )

Wow! The old ones are beautiful, but somehow I even think the newer ones are even more cool! I see cameras people had when I was a kid, and somehow they are so uncool that they are cool. And you never see anyone with a Fanta-camera anymore!

I love how you've displayed them Andi, looks super cool! Old cameras have so much more character than new ones.

I love your camera collection :) Nice variations!
I have a smaller collection myself, I guess I should make a blog post about them some time ;)

I may be very old in posting a comment, but you did link to this in your most recent post so...

Great collection! I just adore old cameras too. When my husband and I got together, I discovered he didn't collect anything! He's a graphic designer who also does photography, so I kind of forced him into collecting cameras. He enjoys it though a lot, and many of them still work, and we've used them - the film and developing it costs a lot though.
