The other day I mentioned I had a lovely surprise in honour of my blogiversary...and here it is! An amazing giveaway sponsored by the even more amazing etsy shop, Adeline's Attic, run by the lovely Vintage Baroness.
Up for grabs is this lovely collection of a WWII era corde purse; bobbypins on original card, also WWII era; vintage Vera red and white silk/rayon scarf. All for one lucky person!
To enter all you need to do is visit the shop and leave a comment here telling me what your favourite item is. I would like to stress, just for clarity's sake, that it is not to win something from the shop, but what is pictured here. The giveaway is open to all followers of my blog, worldwide. I also need some way to contact you (either leave your email address or a link back to your blog/website if you don't want to leave your email publicly).
For an extra entry blog or tweet about it (but please make sure to leave a separate comment to tell me you have done so, with a link back to the specific blog entry or tweet).
The giveaway is open until next Wednesday 14th of July, midnight (that's Adelaide time which is GMT+9.30) and I will draw the winner sometime next Thursday, 15th of July.
Good luck to all entrants!! Hurrah.
Love,
Andi B. Goode

Sun suits!!! LOVE! The vintage ones never ever fit me and that makes me very sad. This one is too cute. I would pair it with some bright red heart shaped glasses and possibly some yellow or green heels......oh and braids of course!
I love the '1950s Sheer Blue Cotton SABRINA Dress', it would be so summery and perfect for this weather! Also this is such an amazing giveaway, thank you!!

I am so coveting the 1930s to 1940s Feedsack Day or House Dress - so simple yet so beautiful. And it would almost fit me too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous giveaway! And a wonderful Etsy-shop, it was a bit hard to just pick one favorite (one from each decade instead? =) ), but in the end the late 30s dresses usually have that little extra. And so it was!

Happy blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that 1960's watercolor floral dress, sadly however it is not in my size.
I looked around and love 1950s Woven White Vinyl and Blue Marble Lucite Basket Purse.

Wow, choosing a favourite is hard, but the chocolate coloured dress with the lace up detail makes me swoon!
ReplyDeleteI just tweeted about the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI just adore the "Early 1930s Sheer Organdy Dress." I wish it was in my size (boo hoo).
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many fantastic items in your Etsy store, but after some tough consideration, I would have to say that this 40's black & white plaid dress is my favorite:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/48518243/1940s-black-and-white-plaid-ruffle
I just love the frilled collar, and I'm just a sucker for (mostly) black dresses. That dress is appropriate for such a variety of occasions too!
Jennie
For me it was a three way tie! I simply cannot choose between the "1940s Black and Cream DAISY Rayon Dress with Crochet Trim," the "1940s Black and White Plaid Ruffle Pinafore Style Dress," or the "1940s Milk Chocolate Rayon Dress with UNBELIEVABLE Lace-up Detail."
ReplyDeleteThey are all simply amazing, and I'm on the verge of drooling on my keyboard as I type...

ReplyDeleteThere's plenty to love at Adeline's Attic, but because of the sweltering heat we are experiencing here in Blighty right now it has to be the sun suit! http://www.etsy.com/listing/48375812/1950s-tina-leser-original-white-waffle

By the way this is such a brilliant idea! :)
Oh yes the sunsuit, and the 50s woven handbag are just fab. As is most of the stuff in that shop, really. Sigh.

Normally I find it hard to pick a favourite thing (maybe I'm greedy!), but I was immediately drawn to the yellow and white dress from the 60s! It reminds me of summer, beaches and picnics.
ReplyDeleteWhile I do tend to prefer simple, timeless prints and solid colours... I LOVE unique details that really made a classic garment some visual appeal.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I adore the 1940s milk chocolate rayon dress (http://www.etsy.com/listing/40212821/1940s-milk-chocolate-rayon-dress-with). Simple, elegant, and utterly timeless!!
I just found your blog courtesy of the Vintage Baroness and I am so glad! I find myself drawn to this happy, sunny, polka-dotted dress. I like the bow, too.

I always look at this dress http://www.etsy.com/listing/35288848/foxy-1940s-50s-pine-green-felted-wool and sigh lovingly, hoping that it will have magically gotten smaller because I am far too lazy to take it in properly. I adore the colour (perfect for redheads) and it's wool, so it would be wonderful for winter... I'll probably try to make my own someday.
ReplyDeleteI love the 1960's sunny yellow and white polka dot jersey and chiffon dress, how could you not feel happy in that dress?
