Outfit: Friday Night Vlog

I've been a bit bored of a few things lately: one of them is setting my hair, the other is taking outfit photos. So, when I went out to a friend's birthday last night I didn't do either. Instead, I wore my hair in a ponytail (which I pinned under so it looked sort of like a bun) and did an outfit video (which I filmed on my old point an shoot camera in about 5 minutes as I was in a hurry) for something different. I've liked the idea since I saw Mary Van Note's ages and ages ago but never did one myself until now. I hope you all like it...

Outfit details: 1950s hat - etsy; bracelet, earrings & necklace - Diva; vintage brooch - ?; 1960s dress - Gymnasium closing down sale; stockings - Voodoo Killer Legs Vintage Stockings; shoes - Rubi Shoes; handbag - Dangerfield. The song I used is Rockin' in the Orbit by Jimmie Haskell and his Orchestra.

And because I've only shared this on Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter, here's me showing off my newest baby - my Waverly Street banjolele.

I'm going to be fairly busy for the rest of the week so I may not be around much but I'm doing my best to catch up on everyone else's blogs, etc. See you on the other side!

Love,
Andi B. Goode

  1. Your outfit is fantastic! Love the leopard handbag and the hat is just precious. Good, wearable hats are hard to find at a decent price I find. I'm so jealous!

  3. Ohhh, I love the vlog idea!! It was sweet to see your outfit bit-by-bit, too :)

And cute banjolule?? How cool! You inspired me to teach myself ukulele on the $3 one I bought from a trash and treasure market. So far I can only play a few songs in a very stop-starty way, but I'm getting better!

  15. Have a wonderful week.

I especially love your dancing feet at the end of the video. And your rendition of 'Take on Me' is the best I have heard. Bring on more banjo playing!!!
