Musical Interlude {Kitty, Daisy & Lewis}

The other day I mentioned that I went to see Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. I can’t remember exactly where or when I heard about them but I fell in love as soon as I saw one of their videos on YouTube.

These three young musicians, haling from the UK, are incredibly talented – they play a multitude of instruments, have fantastic singing voices and make some of the best music I’ve heard from contemporary rockabilly bands.

Plus, I hate to reduce everything to looks or aesthetics, but, seriously, look at how adorable they are! And stylish, too. I was so impressed that Lewis played the entire gig in a suit and tie on a fairly hot Adelaide summer night at a venue with rather poor cooling. I wasn’t even in the thick of the audience (I stood closer to the back) and I could barely stand the heat.

I know for certain that I have other fans of this amazing trio reading my blog but hopefully it will be a nice discovery for those among you who may not have heard of them before.

Love,

They are cute and extremely talented. I'd like to see them play live one day.

There is another young band you should check out called the Caezars from the UK. The members are between the ages of 18-22 and they rock out. Totally adorable, with great style, too.

I absolutely adore Kitty, Daisy and Lewis! I have seen them twice over here in the UK and was astounded by them both times, particularly, as you say, Lewis' ability to play in excrutiating heat in a beautiful suit! When I first saw them it was boiling (for the uk), and eveyone in the tiny venue was sweating profusely, yet they managed to play for about an hour and a half. Everytime we thought they were going to leave the stage, they just played an extra song...it was amazing! xx

I just bought a compilation CD that they've put together yesterday to hear a song of theirs on it. I also bought the Baseballs after reading your post on then (thank you Andi!). I love them.

They are amazing, the first song I heard of there's was Going Up the Country and each time I listen to it now it still sounds so fresh, entirely different to the original too
