Last night I went out. I wore a dress that my mum made for me.
Please do ignore the awkward just-about-to-laugh-face.
It's from the same pattern as the dress I wore in this post. I really love the cut of this dress. This is the pattern for those interested. The halter dress didn't work out very well - the bust is a very odd shape - but this version sits really well on me.
My friend, Kate (in the photos below), was encouraging me to get silly in the photos. This was the best I could do. V for Victory!
Kate often wears the sort of stuff I really love but don't want to wear myself.
Oh, and I tied ribbons to the straps of my shoes as these tend to slip off when I'm walking. It worked really well and looked cute, too!
Hope everyone has been having a lovely weekend! Aside from dancing the night away, last night, I've been doing my best to avoid the heat. Unfortunately all I want to do, right now, is knit but it really is too hot for that, in my opinion. Ah well!
Love,

ReplyDeleteThe dress is super cute! And when it's summer here I don't stop knitting... I just try to do it in air-conditioning as much as possible. ;)
ReplyDeletePlease convey me applause to your mother, that dress looks marvelous on you!
ReplyDeleteOh, to dance the night away... I'm on temporary sick-leave from swingdancing (and everything else that's not physical therapy) and my feet are really starting to itch. *sigh*
Working on projects for next season is always a bother in the summer. Both knitting and handsewing wool really isn't that much fun in hot weather.
Love the dress and the print, you look fab!
