When I had the privilege of telling you all about Heyday's sale first, I, of course, took advantage of the bargains and snapped up a couple of things for myself. So, instead of doing an assignment, I slipped them on today so I could show them off to my blog readers.
I've had my eye on the Mary dress in this colour (now sold out) ever since I first discovered Heyday clothes. It's just as perfect in real life as it looks on the site (which isn't surprising but is nice to know, nonetheless) and the colour! Oh, the colour is so beautiful.
My favourite thing about this dress is the flattering details...
Look at those shoulders. Swoon!
And the gathering under the bust. Double swoon! I'll probably be wearing this to a WWII themed Fringe show that I'm going to...it's the perfect colour and perfect style for that sort of thing, don't you think?
(Please excuse the creases - I haven't pressed them, yet).
These make the fifth pair of trousers I own (not all Heyday but all basically the same style)...unfortunately, they're one of only two pairs that fit me, right now. But they sure fit me well! I think this style is very flattering and the colour is perfect for cooler summer or spring days. (The trousers in this colour have also sold out.)
I'd like to note that the shirt I'm wearing is from Target and that I added the belt over the trousers myself but they look great without the belt, too. I just felt, for my height, it was nice to break up the waistline a little.
This was one of those 'mistake' photos but it shows off the lovely buttons very well.
As with (I'd dare say) all Heyday! items, these will both be perfect for dancing in. And I can easily assure you, dear readers, that you will be seeing a good deal more of these in times to come, in my outfit posts.
I think I ought to add one last thing: I only have two sponsors at present but I wouldn't accept sponsorship from anyone if I didn't believe in the quality of whatever it may be that they sell. I'm over the moon that Heyday is a sponsor and I honestly can't wait to wear my new dress and trousers out and about and show them off to Adelaide!
