Anyone else remember what I wrote before blogger had its issues? Because I sure don't. Ah, yes. I recall vaguely - I mentioned how I felt this dress was, at least, a little different for me. I don't wear black and white often (not together, anyway) so that's different.
This graphic black and white checkerboard pattern always makes me think of 2 Tone Records, which is why I nicknamed this my 2 Tone Dress.
I wore it with these work weight vintage stockings and flat shoes as I was off to Uni but I have plans of dressing it up a bit - black stockings, my new platforms and a cropped black jacket and fancy hat.

Outfit details: beret - hand-me-down; 1950s dress - Dear Golden Vintage; cashmere cardigan - Best of Times Vintage; vintage stockings - op-shop; shoes - KMart.

Andi B. Goode

O.M.G. Words can not express how much I love/am jealous of that dress! I also got my screen name from the girl icon from that record label :)
ReplyDeleteI love work weight stockings; they never snag on my nails! That dress looks gorgeous on you, I think it will look even more amazing with those new platforms :D
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. I'm a big fan of black and white patterns and this dress is amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteLovely dress, do you do your hair with curlers? As I am desperate for the page boy style curl and I can never do it! x
ReplyDeletethat dress is lovely! You look fab as ever!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous find! Such a pretty sillhouette - love those sleeves :)
ReplyDeleteI just love the shape and style of this dress--so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit different, the black and white but also the more casual silhouette of the top; we often see you in more structured shapes. I must say you carry it off wonderfully! I love the splash of red with the cardigan, and that gorgeous hat! You're such a pretty lady :)

LOVE this Andi. It is fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress will look gorgeous with your new shoes (which I think are divine). Cant wait to see a pic :)
ReplyDeleteAndi it's such a shame you've lost all the lovely comments to your earlier post before Blogger went nuts. This dress is so beautiful and I love the way it hugs your hips and swings out. I want to see more of this little gem! xo
ReplyDeleteLove that dress and that cardigan is perfection! I knew I commented before and then Blogger went crazy. But, this look like all of styles, is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! I also don't wear much balck and white but patterns like this (houndstooth, for example) i love!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome dress! I love the beret too :o)
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white together, much more interesting than plain of either because of the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've styled it with the pumps- I often wear flats to work so sometimes avoid skirts, which is silly because many cuts of skirt work so nicely with pumps.
