Today I went out for a friend's birthday picnic which also coincided with the (second, I believe) Adelaide Tweed Run. My friend went on the run but I don't cycle so I just went to her picnic after. I did get to see a lot of the riders, though, all dressed up and they looked amazing! I wish I'd taken my camera but, in true fashion, I forgot. Anyway, it was such a gorgeous sunny day for the middle(ish) of winter and it was the perfect opportunity to finally wear this gorgeous dress out of the house.
I edited these photos a little differently than usual and I'm not sure how I like them, just yet. I think this particular one (above) is maybe a little too orange-tinted.
Details: hat - hand knit by me; sunglasses - Salvos; 1930s dress - etsy; bangles (new & vintage) - various; socks - Harris Scarfe; saddle shoes - etsy.
And a couple of other outfits from the past couple of weeks:
Oh, and everyone should take a look at the interview I did for Kate Gabrielle at her blog Scathingly Brilliant - I wrote about what a movie of my life would be like and Kate even made a great poster to go along with it. I just can't get over how fantastic the poster is!
Love,

I adore all of these outfits but that 1930s dress is especially drool-worthy. Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI adore that brown dress!
ReplyDeleteI adore your pompom hat so much and the red jumper looks gorgeous. And I would definitely go watch a film about your life, the poster is brilliant x
ReplyDeleteOooh love that first dress! The neck detail is brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteI like the effect you're using on your photos - it works really well to suit the tone of your outfits.
ReplyDeleteI like it orange tinted! You look super cute in that dress, suits you! And I just checked out your interview at Kate's cute blog and well, I'd watch your movie! haha and yeah, great poster! XXX
ReplyDeleteFantastic outfits as usual, Andi! Once/if I get the knack of knitting Im going to attempt the 3-hour sweater. And that brown dress really is "drool-worthy", as Riikka put it.

Love it!!! You look Great in every one of those Outfits! :)
ReplyDeleteI adore your hair set with that pom pom hat on- just divine!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see your finished 3 hour sweater! How long did it take you in the end? My mum knitted me one in a slightly lime-y green but it took about 15 hours! I am now in the process of knitting a cream one though I'm not a very good knitter!
It is a gorgeous colour on you!

Gah! As usual, I want to steal all your outfits! hehe. Especially that second one with the plaid shirt--so fetching! What did you think of the Three Hour Sweater? It's been on my list of things to knit for years, and I just haven't gotten to it. For some reason, the simplicity scares me (don't try and figure it out--this defies logic! lol.). ;) Love your version!
ReplyDeleteLOVING the 3hr sweater! Such a lovely shade of red!
ReplyDeletethe 30s dress you're wearing is my favourite one, definitely one of your best outfits ever
