Are they made from real Girl Scouts?

Had another night out on Wednesday and I was definitely feeling the '60s again, that day! I think one attraction for me is that, if I'm feeling a bit lazy, I don't need to bother doing much to my hair. This is especially nice now that my hair is getting so long...

I remarked on Instagram that I felt a little like a grown-up/slightly mod Wednesday Addams in this dress! (That thought inspired the title of this post). What do you think? The girl in the shop thought it was a little bit genius when I made that remark...I really didn't think it was that clever. I just always think of Wednesday when I see black dresses with white collars!

Once again, this outfit doesn't have any actual vintage pieces in it! I somehow feel like that deserves an apology, oddly enough. Hmm. With my renewed love of the '60s I have been looking for original pieces on etsy but, thus far, haven't found any I love and that will actually fit me. So, I'm taking advantage of yet another '60s revival in current fashion and picking up a few '60s inspired dresses whilst they're on the racks (when I can afford to). This particular little number is from Dotti who have a few '60s styles in store at the moment. My only issue with this dress is the darn sleeves are too long (this happens a fair bit when you're 5'3, though!)

Check out my friend, Kate's, awesome boots! And hair.

It was getting a little dark by the time I took these photos, so that's why they are so grainy.

Mustard & ketchup legs!

I remarked that our tights were like mustard & ketchup and insist we get a photo to record this. This isn't the best shot, though. Oops.

  1. i love the length of the sleeves on you! but that probably has something to do with the fact that i'm real tall and never have had the problem of too long sleeves, or too long pants for that matter. you look lovely, andi!

  2. I was expecting you to be wearing something with lemons or lemonade! ;)

Totally a more chic Wednesday Addams for sure. I think of that too with any black dress/white collar combo. I like how the polka dots get less scattered as they go up the dress. And really pops so well with the tights!

  10. Oh man your friend's hair is AWESOME! I really like your choice of outfit; and I say don't feel bad for wearing modern stuff - the style is more important than where it comes from. Why not take advantage when there is a revival of a style you like?
