Firstly, to anyone who hasn't noticed yet I finally got my new layout finished! It's not as fancy as the amazing layout Kate Gabrielle had made for me but I felt like it was time for a change. Plus, now I can reply to comments!
Secondly, I'm still really struggling with things to blog about. I haven't been taking outfit photos and, as I can only really afford to indulge one collection/obsession at a time, any spare money I have is focussed on my latest. So, I haven't been buying much in the way of vintage wares to share here, either.
For now, I thought I'd share a few more shots of my growing Tammy family:
These dresses were made for Calico Lassie - she was a mail-order doll through Kellog's cereal and bears a striking resemblance to Ellie-Mae Clampett. They each originally came with matching bloomers, too, but I'm missing the bloomers for one of these dresses.
But as I don't have a Calico Lassie the dresses are being worn by these three Tammy 'clones' (i.e. knock-off dolls) that I found at a local shop. I've had a few comments about how frightening the orange-haired twins are but I think their nearly-neon locks are fantastic.
Tammy's little sister, Pepper...times two. I love her little dresses - I'd like them in my size!
And here is my whole Tammy family (by Ideal) - it's not as big as the collections of some of the doll collectors I've made friends with online but I'm quite proud of my little family! They are wearing a mix of official Tammy, Sindy and vintage no-name clothes. The outfit on the left (called Ring-a-Ding) reminds me a little of one of Ann Margret's outfits in Bye Bye Birdie.
Anyway, I hope you can all bear with me as I plod along at a sporadic blogging pace until I get the blogging muse back.
Love,
Andi B. Goode

The new design looks fantastic! It's very clean, refreshing and easy to read, without being at all sterile or clinical-looking. I like it a lot :-)
ReplyDeleteThank-you! That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the layout :D
DeleteI LOVE the new layout and your Tammy family, I'm exploring changing mine up as well though not quite as tech savvy as some.
ReplyDeleteomg my mum used to have those dolls, she says they were possessed
ReplyDeleteHaha, really? I can gladly tell you that mine aren't ;)
DeleteThe new blog layout is pretty adorable!! And your My Little Pony collection is too. My mom threw out my (rather amazing) childhood MLP herd a few years ago; I still kinda resent her for it ;)
ReplyDeleteI so hear you on not being inspired to blog, too. I'm in the same boat; I still love wearing vintage, but I've been so busy with other projects that I really don't have the same desire (or free time) to do outfit shots anymore. It's a strange time to be a blogger, I guess, as I've noticed a lot of my ol' favorite vintage bloggers also seem to be fading/transitioning...
I love the new blog layout! And those dolls have the best outfits!!
ReplyDeletelove the new design! Your Tammy dolls are too cute! The first dresses remind me of the old TV Show Petticoat Junction! (which if you haven't seen, you must! It's pretty late 50's/early 60's silly-charming! The clothes areto die for,and the opening credits are my favourite!)
ReplyDeleteThe new design looks great, Andi!
ReplyDeleteI love your new design! It looks great and I love when you share your doll collection. I should show you a couple of dolls that belonged to my grandmother. I think they're Dutch and one looks a little like you Tammy dolls.
ReplyDeleteTHE BLOG LAYOUT IS ADORABLE.
ReplyDeletei have also lost the blogging muse. i hope this is not the end of an era!
The new layout is super cool, love it! I love the minty color.
ReplyDeleteThe new blog looks cute! Change can be refreshing. Don't feel bad about feeling unispired/pooped out. It happens :)
ReplyDeleteDoll clothes provide so many ideas. That yellow dress I MUST replicate!
Oh Andi, your new layout is knock-your-socks off gorgeous! I adore the colours, element composition, header - every last lovely detail. What an awesome note to start the year off on!
