Well, there wasn't any rain when I went out last Friday night, luckily, but there has been quite a bit, this past week. Now, normally I'm not a fan of the rain as it keeps me awake at night and it's not pleasant to get soaked on the way out, but it's been a wonderful break from the excessive heat. It's been quite regenerative, if confusing.
But I did go to a park, and there are other things, too...plus I just love the song. (I'm referring to the the subject, just in case that wasn't obvious - ha).
Anyway, on to what I wore! I've been very much into the '60s, again, lately, and I finally had this amazing fabric made up into a dress. It's new fabric but it's so very '60s to me (or maybe a little '70s, too).
This dress was made from the same pattern as my Robin costume, but this time we used the collar that was actually in the pattern. It's meant to be at least an inch bigger, too! Mum made the dress for me, as I really dislike sewing, and would have put it off for months. I will be sewing my costumes for Comic Con in April, though, but that's for another post.
There's something I just love, and always will no doubt, about black shoes and white stockings. Especially shiny black shoes.
Trillian had her new dress on and insisted on being in a photo with me!
Apologies to anyone who is scared of clowns, but I just loved these sideshow clowns at The Garden of Unearthly Delights. I now have dreams of having some in my house, one day.
I mentioned on twitter that this photo reminds me of a really poor homage to the work of Anna Gaskell (who I wrote about in my thesis, actually).
If you want to see more photos of Trillian on her adventures, you can see them here at Flickr.
